Upon receiving a second from Bradfordsborough, the Ministries Act (sponsored by Austrur) will now be open for discussion. This thread will remain open for discussion until a councilor motions for a vote. That motion will need a second. Then, this thread will be locked and a new thread for voting will be created.
Be it enacted by the Dux Council,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the "Ministries Act".
SEC. 2. FINDINGS.
(a) Dux Milan currently does not have a governing structure beyond the Dux Council and World Assembly Delegate provided for in the Dux Milan Compact
(b) Many successful regions have provisions in place to formally delegate various governmental responsibilities to created ministries
(c) The Dux Council need not involve itself in the day-to-day activities of recruiting, policing, etc.
(d) Opening governmental positions to member states may boost activity in the region.
SEC. 3. PROVISIONS.
(a) The Dux Council shall be granted the power to create and dissolve Ministries to oversee various governmental responsibilities
(b) These Ministries shall be lead by a single, appointed leader to oversee the activities of the Ministry
(c) Each Minister be obligated to provide an update to the Dux Council regarding the activities and
status of the Ministry
SEC. 4. ENACTMENT.
The provisions of this bill shall become effective upon passage by the Dux Council.
