Region threatened, Dux warned after row with Feuer Ritter
Dux Bradford John
ABRILLAN, NB - Several colorful exchanges on the gameplay forums this weekend seemed to get Dux Bradford John in a bit of trouble with friends and foes alike as the region's founder was accused of over-reacting at the best, and provoking further raids at the worst, after go-betweens with Black Riders Commander Feuer Ritter.
Ritter, who has announced retirement from his post, responded to Dux Bradford John's accusations that The Black Riders were behind last week's temporary seizure of the region's WA delegacy.
"If you keep ranting like this it will happen again. We don't care about your elections or whatever you are doing there," Ritter wrote. "Get over it and move on."
Ritter's post convinced Dux Milan's allies at Land Mass that The Black Riders were behind the attack.
"Land Mass will not allow The Black Riders to attack our allies Dux Milan unopposed," a statement from Land Mass' founder, The Church of Satan, read. "We will stand by our allies and defend them. You best go back to what you do best, attacking defenseless regions because you lack the ability to raid a region that can compete with you."
Bradford John was also convinced that Ritter's riders were behind the attack after the ominous post.
Several nations, within Dux Milan and outside the region, have contacted the dux asking for the comments against Ritter to cease, according to sources close to the founder's office. The founder refused to release the nations who asked for the comments to stop but released a statement.
"I take the suggestions of all nations, especially members, with the highest regard," Bradford John said. "In this case, several of the nations to contact me were right and I stopped responding."
Bradford John has since disengaged from Ritter and posted a founder's report on the region's gameplay thread.
According to sources close to the founder, the nations expressing concern over the dux's comments were worried that Bradford John would provoke a secondary attack. Their concerns seem to be justified.
In a post, made late Sunday night, Ritter denies Black Riders involvement in the raid on Dux Milan but double's down on his threat to attack the region.
"I said 'It will happen again' that doesn't mean that [sic] were TBR troops involved, it means that next time it will be, okay," Ritters most recent comment to Bradford John read.
