THE RULES OF ORDER FOR THE DUX COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Dux Council members may propose motions in the "Motions" thread. If said motion receives a second, a thread for discussion motion will be created. Only when a motion's thread is created may councilors may begin a discussion about the motion. If a "motion to bypass" is accompanying, the motion will move directly to vote.
At any time during a motion's discussion, a councilor may call for a vote. If the councilor receives a second, the thread will be locked and voting will commence on a separate, secondary thread created for that motion. As the council's moderator, Dux Bradford John will create those threads as promptly as possible. Voting will then remain open for 24 hours, or until all nations have voted. At the end of 24 hours, the vote will stand regardless of how many votes are cast.
A tie vote results in a failed motion.
Councilors are again reminded to refrain from discussion about motions on the "Motions" thread. However, the councilor presenting the motion may accompany the motion with an appeal for support. Nations making seconds may also speak freely while doing so in the "Motions" thread.
Nations posting on this board out of order risk having their comment deleted.
